Google's Secret Side
I first was clued into this "Secret Side" to Google a couple years ago at a $25,000 per person high-end seminar.
The guy I was talking to was a 23 year old kid and doing $350,000 a month online with just 1 front-end product he sold for $39.95… and no product launches, no affiliates, none of that fancy stuff.
Obviously I was interested in learning more.
His secret…
He almost exclusively used the "Content Network" side of Google's PPC program.
What is that??
That's where your ad shows up on other people's website (that is related to your product) who put Google's Adsense Ads on their site.
Why is this so powerful?
1) Less competition because most people don't understand it, and if they do try it, they get BAD results. So most people avoid it.
2) That means lower per-click costs. So you are spending less to get the same amount of traffic.
3) The ad inventory of targeted traffic is MASSIVE. With normal PPC advertising, you are VERY limited to the number of people who search for your keywords. However, think about how much time you spend visiting webpages versus doing a search at Google. Is it a 20 to 1, maybe even 50 or 100 to 1 factor.
Conservatively there is 10 to 100 times more traffic on the "PPC Content Network" side of Google compared to the "PPC Search" side.
4) Most niches are what I call "In-Direct Traffic" niches. That means most people are not actively searching for what you have to offer… however if they heard about it they would be interested. That means you need to go where they are at online and put your message in front of them. The Content Network allows you to do this within minutes.
That means the BIG opportunity to get A LOT of traffic (and inexpensively) is using the "Content Network" side to Google.
Virtually ever highly successful "Underground" online marketer I know using PPC gets most of their traffic via the Content Network. I'm talking about people bringing in 6-figures a month or more.
Let me give you an example.
My buddy Don is in the Graduate School Admissions niche. He helps college kids get into graduate school.
The average admissions rate nationwide is 20%, he has an 80% success rate with students who follow his system.
The problem is, most college kids are not actively searching for help on this topic. They are too busy partying, and then worrying at the last minute what they are going to do.
However, they are visiting websites online ALL the time. And constantly have in their back of their mind worry about getting into Graduate School… so when they see Don's ad on a site they are visiting they click through to check it out.
Currently almost 85% of Don's PPC traffic comes from the Content Network
side of Google, and only 15% from the Search side of Google.
If Don didn't know this Secret Side of Google… he would be doing 85% less in sales.
In fact, once he really figured this out, he closed his office, fired his staff, and now leisurely works his business part-time from the patio at his house in Huntington Beach.
Are you also missing out on 85% of your sales?
Another nice benefit with the Content side… if you know what you are doing you can get up and going quickly.
Recently I set up a campaign. It took about 75 minutes to do the keyword research, create my ads and set up the campaign. Then a couple minutes each day "refining" the campaign to remove unwanted sites. Now it basically runs on auto-pilot. I log in every few weeks to see how it is doing.
It's currently generating new customers for a $97 product at a cost of $22.
That's a $75 profit per customer.
Pretty sweet deal.
Warning
The Content PPC Side of Google is VERY different from the Search PPC side of Google.
If you try and treat them the same… you will fail badly. That's why most people who say it doesn't work have done, and obviously it didn't work.
But, if you are like Don and myself and know the right way to do it, then life becomes VERY VERY good.
This Part Is Really Cool
You don't have to go buy an expensive $1,000 program to learn this. Yes you could, and there is nothing wrong with the programs coming out about PPC marketing.
But I have a better option for you.
Earlier this year I met a lady here in Dallas. She showed up at the monthly social get-together I have at my house for all the Dallas Internet Entrepreneurs.
Turns out, she has been doing PPC Campaign management for YEARS. Simple put, she is in the trenches everyday DOING PPC marketing in a lot of different niches. And if she doesn't produce results for her clients she doesn't get paid.
And over the past few years she has cracked the code to Google's Content Network.
In fact, she has become THE go-to person for Google Adwords expert Perry Marshall when it comes to the Content Network. If you are a member of Perry's High-end programs, they you would have heard Shelley.
On top of that, all of the major conferences on PPC marketing invite her to speak. The list goes on.
Then, last month, I had Shelley do a 1-hour training for all of our $2,000 Go Full Time Online workshop attendees on the Content Network. Everybody was furiously taking notes and wanted more.
Afterwards she offered everybody at the workshop 6 weeks of interactive live webinar training… so each of them could get up and running and master the REALLY BIG OPPORTUNITY with Google.
Now, I'm sure you're thinking… 6 weeks of live training from one of the world's leading experts on Google's PPC Content Network would go for at least $1,997.
Fortunately for you… Shelley is most interested in teaching a small group of students how to master this secret side of Google and generate IMPRESSIVE RESULTS. (Then she can package up the whole training program and sell it for $997.)
Instead she offered the entire 6 week live webinar training series for just $197.
Yeah, its way too low, almost too good to be true.
But it is true.
And if you want to tap into the biggest opportunity Google offers for A LOT of traffic… and start generating HUGE email lists and TONS of new customers… then this is for you.
There is no fancy sales letter, or product launch, or a bunch of hype, or 539 bonuses if you sign up now.
Instead, click here and register today for the same $197, and either attend the webinar's live, or go through the recordings of each training at your convenience.
Over half the people at our Go Full Time Online workshop signed up. That means we can fit 35 more people onto the live trainings and you can be one of them when you register today and tap into Google's Secret Side.
-Kevin
P.S. Forgot to mention this… the first session is on Tuesday, June 16th, then once a week for 6 weeks. Every training session will be recorded and made available online in video and audio format so you can review as often as you would like.

This is an interesting article…
It makes sense, by studying my own behaviour I know I am more likely to click on an Ad on somebody's site than I am a sponsored listing in the search engines…
Thanks for sharing,
Karl

Shelley is great! She did the content network campaign for our main site, pigtones.com (sorry for the plug
But it's true. She helped out immensely and has been awesome to have around. If she's doing all this for that price…it's a steal!

I think is grat to lern this, Iam new to the marketing business.and my first campaign is with google content network.
I am promoting affiliate products and i have found that doing promotions in the google plcement section is less stressful, and more fun, and hopefully profitable, since I started a couple of weeks ago, and I'm still adjusting it.
I would really like it if there were step- by- step videos just on this topic. (seting up a plcement campaign, writing the ads, doing the keyword search, and the things to do to keep improving it).

When does the 6 week training begin?
[KEVIN] First session is Tuesday, June 16th. Then once a week for 6 weeks. Every session is also recorded and posted online for you.

Thanks for that. I nearly let the content network stuff float away with all the other traffic strategies out there. Whilst working with a large internet marketing company here in Australia I saw first hand the power of the content network.
By the way, Nitro Marketing is starting to stick. I really like you guys.

I would also really like a little more info on this. Will it be geared towards people that know NOTHING about PPC or does one have to have some (or a lot) or experience in normal PPC? What level of details will it have? Will there be case studies? etc. etc.
Thanks,
Mikael
[KEVIN] Hi Mikael, this is the same thing that Shelley offered at the Full Time Online Workshop. Its designed to take somebody who is new and show them how to get started and eventually move into advanced techniques. The first couple sessions are all about the fundamentals and getting started and optimizing your campaigns.
Then the later sessions are more advanced, for example she will cover doing PPC advertising on youtube and targeting relevant videos.
Since all the sessions are recorded and made available, you can review them as much as you want and go back to the more advanced ones when you are ready for them.

Thanks for this really helpful information. Cool stuff! I agree with Marco that a step-by-step instruction video would be the coolest addition to this article and the business you so eloquently describe. Best wishes.

Hi - Interested! What times do you have arranged for the training? Am in the UK - so could be that due to time differences I wouldn't be able to take part live … is there a way to opt just for the recorded trainings?
thanks
Lori
[KEVIN] Hi Lori, it is at 8pm Eastern on Tuesday. You can convert that at http://www.timezoneconverter.com/cgi-bin/tzc.tzc
And yes, you also receive all of the recordings (in video and audio formats) for all of the training sessions.

Why you are charging this much amount. People like us who are earning mere $125 per month can't afford it. Give it for free & after training us & making us get the money which you are saying, we will trust you & will pay you. Else don't bribe people like this. God may not leave you.. Mind it….
Make it to $1 or $2 dollars….
[KEVIN] If you are not ready for this then definitely stay focused on applying the training and system you already have to get started.
If you are still in the getting started phase, BY FAR the most important piece of advise is to stay focused on following one system to success and not get distracted by all the other opportunities that are available.
Shelley's clients pay her $2,500+ upfront, and then 10% a month to implement this for them. Having the opportunity to learn all of her knowledge and wisdom for $149 is an absolute BARGAIN. Literally, comparable training programs sell for $1000 to $2000.

Can you say incredible value…
I attended the FTOL course last month where Shelley spoke for an hour. The group didn't want her to stop, the information she was giving to us was just amazing. Shelley really knows her stuff when it comes to the content network.
I would recommend this to anyone that wants to learn about or go the next level in your content network campaigns. You can't get value like this anywhere.
P.S. I was one of the attendee's that signed up right away.

I appreciate the nice article, however this feels like a course geared more for the newbies of SEM. Contextual marketing on Google's Adsense can play a successful part of an overall marketing plan, however every business within each niche is unique and should carefully evaluate where any marketing dollar is invested.
Again, behavioral marketing is nothing new in the marketing world, but you can see a good return on your investment if implemented correctly, tracked, and tweeked based on results.
To all the newbies or those thinking about taking this course- I would suggest investing the $149. It's really a small price to pay to get educated by a marketing professional. I own a brick and mortor marketing business and my consulting fees "start" at $325 an hour. Believe me, my clients gladly pay me for my time, because they make money off of me! Lots of money! So if you are interested in investing in your education , I say go for it.
PS- Ask around to any business doing SEM and you will find PPC budgets "starting" around $1,000 a month going upwards to $100,000 a day! Do some of your own investigating by visiting spyfu.com. You can see what other companys' PPC budgets run. So that tiny $149 is peanuts compared to anywhere else you could go.
Best Regards,

This is one of those training products that you buy based on credibility alone, both Kevin/Matt's and Shelley. I doubt that I'll use it right now, but for $149 it saves me months of learning. When I'm ready to kick it off, I won't have to learn from ALL my mistakes.

Wow. I know that for some people $149 can be hard to come by these days, but I'll tell you what… that's a VERY serious value proposition.
I may just have to sign up myself.

Hi-
I am sure that the product is great. I am also sure that also offering the program at $36 for 5 months or $44 for 4 months would TRIPLE your sales! I hope to launch a site domain that
already gets 60million results in searches and had 300million
in 2006. Thanks todaysevents.

Content targeting is just now "coming out". Even up until December of 08, the SEM industry as a whole and many of the Internet gurus were still standing by the old, outdated "stay away from it" advice.
In April, AdTech had the first ever contextual advertising conference in San Francisco called AdSpace 2009. It was the first time the SEM industry had promoted the value of the content networks for both publishers and advertisers.
This came out a few days ago: http://blog.reply.com/?p=142 where SMX is now talking about the content targeting "myths"
There is very little information, only a handful of articles and almost no training on strategies for content targeting right now. For those of you who signed up, when you finish the course, you will be light years ahead of your competitors. There will be information for beginners…and there will be plenty of advanced strategies as well.
I'm looking forward to getting started!

That's almost 8800 sales monthly, every month. I'd have to see his tax return as proof.
Interesting strategy none the less.
