Get More Traffic To Your Blog - For Free
John Reese has recently launched a service called BlogRush that can help you get more traffic to your blog for free, simply by placing a widget onto the sidebar of your blog.
The widget will display 5 blog post titles from other blogs that are related to yours (based on the category you choose when you sign up). At first this may seem like a negative thing because you don't want people to click away from your blog, however you don't have to worry about that because when someone clicks a post title, it opens in a new window.
How It Gets You Traffic
When any of your blog pages load, the widget will display a new set of links and you will earn a syndication credit, that is used to display your blog post titles on someone else's blog.
BlogRush also gives you a referral link that you can use to get other bloggers to signup, and in turn you will earn credits each time someone visits their blog, resulting in increased traffic for your blog.
You will also get credit when a blogger signs up for the service after clicking the ‘Add your blog posts free’ or the BlogRush logo on your widget.
The interesting part is that you will get your blog post titles displayed on related blogs even when pages containing the widget loads on your referrals blog! So the potential here is huge. If you refer 5 friends who are getting only 300 or so pageviews a day, you will get your blog titles displayed 1500 times per day from their credits alone. This isn't even counting the credits you will earn from your own blog's pageviews.
Imagine what would happen if you refer someone who is getting a few thousand page views per day to their blog! And it doesn't end there, you also get exposure to your blog for all the people your referrals refer, down to 10 levels. So the more referrals you have, and your referrals have, the more traffic you get.
This is definitely something worth testing, especially when you consider that it is free, and very quick and easy to implement. We have just begun testing it ourselves. I wouldn't wait to sign up, because getting in early will give you a huge advantage when it comes to gaining referrals.

I've been using Blog Rush for about a week now, and it definitely adds a nice touch to my blog. It's still a brand new service, so it hasn't taken off yet for a lot of people, I don't think. But the concept is profound, and I haven't run into any blog yet that hasn't placed it on it's site.
Looks like everyone is buying into it, so I can't wait to see what effect this will have.
