Good one Kevin, Doing something that scares you enables you to know that you will survive it. I went through Military training and taking a phone pole over a 12 ft wall is possible. Going down a death slide is fun. Many corporations use outward bound courses to engender team spirit and confidence boosting. The thing is to believe in yourself and push those doubts and fears away.

Kevin,

Thank you for this jolt. Many of us sit alone and feel a lack of confidence. The link I found tonight was reconnecting with my successes.

We needed this boost.

Good stuff, Kevin. Thanks for sharing ideas on how to be more confident. There is a great need in the world for this kind of information. I'm coaching a professional engineer to be a better speaker for an important upcoming technical presentation. Last night was our third session, and I do video recordings of him practicing his speech. He has improved significantly during each coaching session, but has little confidence in himself or recognition of his improvements. So I am not only helping him improve his speaking ability, I'm coaching him on how to be more confident and to recognize his success at improving his presentation skills.
