Blueprint price is going up AND valuable marketing lesson
The story I'm about to share with you has a valuable marketing lesson you can learn from.
And is also an important message because the price of the Nitro Blueprint System is going up by $200 starting next week.
You can still get it today at its current low price here:
http://www.NitroBlueprint.com
Why the price is increasing… and a valuable lesson we learned.
When we created the Nitro Blueprint System, our goal has always been two-fold:
(1) Provide you a low priced, complete, step by step system you can follow to become successful online. And because of the low price it is available to the masses without breaking your pocketbook or maxing out your credit cards.
(2) Then, by delivering an excellent product (most likely the best you have purchased) and helping you have the success you desire, you will want everything else we have to offer over the coming months and years.
That's because we are in this for the long-term and not interested in making a quick buck.
We accomplished the second part!
On an almost daily basis we receive emails from Blueprint customers who LOVE the product, are getting great results and can't believe how complete it is and delivers everything you need to be successful.
In fact, here is what one customer emailed us recently:
|
"The Nitro Blueprint is the first product I have ever bought where I have been genuinely impressed with it and feel I have received way more value than I spent and have no regrets. So on that note you are pleasing your customers, then you are active in the forum every day which builds a bond as we can come in and see you support us and don't just forget about us. Therefore at that point I know I am going to look at your other products when they come out. But then you sent out an email recently where you said about notifying us if you are in our area so you could meet up with us when you are here - which is unheard of in this industry! So at that point, after I received that email, then even if we don't ever meet up, the simple fact you have genuinely thought about it and gone to the effort of setting up a mailing list for it means I am going to buy everything you put out now without hesitation! Seriously, good work, I am not easy to turn into a 'hyper-responsive' customer, so if I am then you will have also had the same effect on lots of other people." |
I just looked at the "testimonial" folder on my computer and in 3 months there are already 167 testimonials from Blueprint customers… and we never even asked for them yet. They just sent them to us out of the blue because they were so happy about the course and the results they are seeing from it.
But we made a classic marketing mistake on the first part of our goal.
Providing it to you at a low price.
Now, what I am about to say may seem "counter-intuitive" but it is actually VERY true for most businesses.
It's "Perceived Value" vs "Real Value."
People tend to associate value with the price they pay for a product.
To give you an example I just read about.
In a recent study, researchers had coffee drinkers try coffee from McDonalds and Starbucks. The first costs 50 cents a cup, the other $3 (more than 6 times the price!)
Obviously, you would think Starbucks was hands down the winner of that taste test. Its $3 coffee!
Nope, in the blind taste test people actually chose the 50 cent McDonalds coffee over Starbucks.
However if you were to ask those same people which one they liked better with them KNOWING what they were drinking, they would say Starbucks.
The same could be said between a $500 Mont Blonc pen and a $1 Bic pen. They are probably very similar in quality and results, but the $500 pen appears to be MUCH more valuable.
Everybody said it was priced too low…
Before and after we released the Nitro Blueprint System, all of the big name marketers were telling us it was priced way too low. Even our Blueprint Beta Test members said it priced low.
I guess we were hard headed and made the classic mistake of not listening to what the market is saying. We were set on giving great value at an even greater price despite what EVERYBODY was telling us. (Can you say hard-headed!)
The "Tipping Point" blog post!!
Then, while researching all of the people blogging about their experience and success using the Blueprint, I came across one that pushed my button, BIG TIME.
He said he almost didn't buy because he was assuming it was going to be at least a $1000 course.
Then, when he saw it was just $297 he started to question the value it offered. And he almost didn't purchase it.
Luckily he did and is loving it.
However reading in black and white people are not buying it because the perceived value seems low due to the price… it was like a (good) slap to the face.
We finally got what the market was telling us!
We needed to raise the price to achieve our goal of delivering a great product at a great price to the most people.
We actually sold more at a higher price!?!
Yep, that's right.
While we were discussing this price increase internally I was reminded that when we offered the "pre-release" version of the Blueprint in special situations last year, it was at the $497 price and it sold better at that price.
In fact, I did a teleseminar for somebody and at the end offered the Pre-Release Blueprint for $497.
It ended up being his best converting tele-seminar EVER. And he has done over 200 teleseminars.
You have until the end of the month.
On April 1st the price is going up by $200. And no, this is not an April Fools Day joke
So take advantage of this last time you can get the Nitro Blueprint System at this way too low of a price by going here.
~Kevin
P.S.
After we raise it to $497 on April 1st, everybody will then be telling us its still too low and should be a $997 price!
P.P.S.
I hope you also took away some VALUABLE marketing lessons from this as well.
Here are a couple…
– Listen to what the market says, not what you think is right. There is a saying I love: "Make Data Driven Decisions." If all of the data says something, then do that, even if it isn't what you would have chosen yourself. Its not about you, its about what your market and your customers want.
– Sometimes, even many times, by increasing your prices you will actually sell more products (and at a higher price means greater profits) because of the perceived value effect. Testing different price points can be one of the most revealing and biggest impact split tests you can run in your business.
