Welcome to the grand opening of the Nitro Blog.

I’m excited to have the privilege to be the first person to post and welcome you into our family.

I’ve been spending all week trying to think of the best way to start this blog off, what is the best big take-away I can give you and set the stage for the many amazing things we will be sharing with you here in the future.

In the end, I decided to answer the question everybody is always asking us “What does Nitro Marketing do?” And share with you a little insight into what we are about, what we are up to, and in the process show you the value you will be seeing at this blog so you come back again and again.

BE SURE TO READ TO THE END… because there is a HUGE take-away for you, that if you “get it” can easily blow your mind, your business and your income wide open.

And as you will quickly see over the coming weeks, this will be where the entire team here at Nitro will be sharing with you invaluable information on a regular, even daily basis.

   A quick walk in the past…

I find it funny that it took us this long to launch our blog because we were pioneering the blog industry over 6 years ago. One of the first 5 sites we started here at Nitro, back when we were heavily involved in the domain industry, was a site called BlogNames.com 

We were starting a lot of projects back then, some that went on to become extremely successful. Unfortunately that one never gained any traction and thus didn’t receive the attention it needed to take off because it could have been another home run for us.

(FYI, you will see how by using a simple exercise I’ll be sharing with you in a future post, you too can have a virtually unlimited number of potential home run businesses.)

    What is Nitro Marketing? (And today’s BIG take-away)

As I look back over the years marketing online, dating back to the mid 1990’s when I was working off a 28.8 baud modem in my college dorm room, my biggest successes had one thing in common.

And then when Matt and I started Nitro Marketing many of the company’s biggest successes had the very same thing in common.

And moving forward, as we grow into a $30 million dollar a year company over the next 3 years, it will again have the same thing in common.

Do you want to know what that one thing is?

Of course you do!

But first, I want to make sure you fully appreciate what I have to say because it could be easy for you to think its too simple.

In fact, for the longest time I ignored it and it has cost us MILLIONS!! So please don’t ignore, dismiss or don’t see how to apply this to your life and business too.

First, the PRINCIPLE behind this one thing is just as important as the one thing. That’s because if you know the principle(s) why something works than you can duplicate it time and time again with anything you set out to do. Its when you try and copy something without knowing the principles behind why it works that failure and frustration set in quickly.

The principle is:

“Figure out what you are GREAT at doing AND also LOVE doing and create a business that let’s you do that.”

Now if you break that principle down its pretty deep and has a lot of parts to it, which we will cover in future blog posts, but for now just look at the big picture of what it is about. Which leads us to what that “one thing” I keep talking about.

Second, the ONE COMMON THING in our business, that has been responsible for virtually every major success we have had (even dating back to me working out of my door room on a 28.8 baud modem in the 90’s) is….

Be The Marketer. (or the Contenter)

The problem I see a lot of people have is they try and be everything.

In an information product business there are 2 main roles to play — CONTENT and MARKETING. (Also administration such as customer support, web dude, etc but in the big picture those are small and easy to solve and we will cover them in future posts too).

And the person who is great at content is generally somebody who does not thrive in marketing and vice versa. They are two entirely different skill sets, mindsets and ways of writing.

So what you end up with is two groups of people:

First group are those with great information and customers who love them, but never make any money because they can’t market themselves.

Second group are those who struggle trying to figure out what market they will focus on, then struggle even more creating the product and by the time it comes to market it (assuming they even made it that far) they are burned out and already jumped to the next opportunity. Many times these are the people you see get involved in the Internet Marketing/Make Money market because they are marketing what they love doing.

Now, you might have noticed the subtlety obvious.

The two groups are a PERFECT match!!

   And, that is what Nitro Marketing is…

It is a business where somebody who is a marketer (that’s us) partners with somebody who is a content creator (that is all of our clients).

   The take away for you…

First, remember the principle behind this “Figure out what you are GREAT at doing AND also LOVE doing and create a business that let’s you do that.”

And second ask yourself which one are you — marketer or content creator.

Then create your business being that person.
