A Lesson for the Self-Taught from the "Spare Parts" Box
Here’s a bit from a recent blog comment on the Nitro Blueprint System that got me thinking:
“My problem is I get confused about which step to take next! I write down notes and try to begin where I left off but don't seem to be making headway. I’m not being negative, because I am determined to succeed. I have been trying to build an internet business for 5 years. The main reason I am where I am, is that I’m "self-taught"… that’s why I need a personal coach to check my work, advise me, and help me correct my errors…”

The bit about being self-taught reminded me of something. A friend of mine was talking about building models as a kid. You know, model planes, cars, tanks, that kind of thing.
See, he was so anxious to get these things built that he didn’t follow the directions that came with the model. He just kind of built them by piecing them together using whatever seemed like the right next step.
In the end, he had something that looked like a plane, car, or tank – but he also had a bunch of “spare” parts, which he kept in a box. The models were supposed to be pretty sturdy, and some were even supposed to be able to do stuff and move. But without these parts in place, they just didn’t work like they were supposed to.
Same thing with making money online.
You hear these messages all the time – build a site and make money online; you’ll succeed; you can set and reach amazing goals. All the gurus agree it’s possible to make money online – a lot of money. And it’s true.
But, that doesn’t mean it’s so easy you can do it without following the directions. Carefully.
Let me give you an example that’s outside the world of internet marketing. Let’s look at building jet airplanes.
What if you hung around a bunch of people who did that for a living? They’ve spent years learning how to build planes. This is what they do. They throw around jet plane-building terminology, discuss the latest tricks and tips they’ve learned, and basically eat, sleep, and talk about nothing except how to build a jet airplane.
It sounds so cool that you develop a passion for building planes, too.
And you might think you’ve heard enough that you could do it based on all you’ve learned.
But do you really think you’d be able to piece all these nuggets of information together to be able to successfully build a jet airplane?
Of course not! And making money online is the same thing.
Look, it would be really great if the world worked like this:
You set your mind to something and just “figure it out on your own” quickly, easily… and for free. Sure, it takes some persistence and determination, but eventually you wind up with great results.
But here’s how the world REALLY works:
If you want to get something done, the best way is to follow a proven system that shows you exactly what to do and how to do it.
No matter how many emails, free reports, and teleseminars you get your hands on, you just can’t piece miscellaneous parts together and expect to build a powerful machine.
That’s why we created the Nitro Blueprint System. Short of having a successful internet marketer looking over your shoulder every step of the way, it’s the best way to learn a solid system for making money online that really works.
That’s how to end up with a dramatic success rate – instead of a box of “spare” parts.
